Great book. Although I don’t understand the Russian language Vadim didn’t mense words with Nia. He tried not to like her much less love her but it was written in the stars. Carmen never should have tried to cross Vadim with her proposal of marriage, thinking that she was that good. But he showed her as he took her modeling career, ruined her for good, and didn’t give her anymore money for Zahara. He also destroyed Carmen’s partner in crime Bukin, Nia’s rapist, with Carmen’s approval and instructions, never did she think it would come back to bite her in the form of Vadim. Carmen ruined her own life by being greedy and only caring about herself.
Twin sisters so different in life Carmen the mean, selfish, money grabber sister who even hates the thought that she has to compete with her twin Nia. the kind heart twin who's willing to raise Carmen infant daughter because she doesn't want her because the father wouldn't marry her. Nia knows that Carmen is willing to sell her daughter so she goes to the uncle of Zahara and pleas to gain custody of his niece.
Nia would do anything to save her neice from being adopted (sold) to the highest bidder by her twin sister after she told Nia that she couldn't adopted her. So she goes to the one man that could help her or destroy her. Vadim who is also her neice's uncle. Vadim didn't trust her because he believed she was just like her sister. But her decided to help her because the baby was family. As he got to know Nia, he realized that she was nothing like her sister and he was falling in love with her. He also realized she had a secret that kept her on edge when they spent time together. After he found out what the secret was he was set on helping her overcome her fears.Wonderful story...
I thought it was fine but I didn't realize it was *that* short a story. I wish it had been longer and that more of the courtship was available to readers because I did think the main characters were interesting. Maybe one day the author can go back and fluff out the story more with added chapters.
The couple in this book were just the right touch of pull and tug. I could sense that something was holding the heroine back and although the hero was a little abrasive he finally came around. I loved that he fell in love with the heroine. I honest goodness love the idea, that he loved her so much that he went to great extremes to make sure it didn't happen again. Love that makes one only wish and strive for.
